1. One of the projects I have been recently working on, involved entering a Minecraft creative contest on one of the more popular servers.  It was called Meepcraft but now they’re called MeepNetworks.  We were all given a specific sized lot, creative mode for materials, and then a deadline.

    I decided to try and build giant squid ripping a ship in half.  It was quite a challenge trying to make this, since we’re limited to the blocks we can use, but I felt pretty good about what I had completed before I ran out of time.  I was chosen by the judges to be one of the top 3 in the creative category.  Then it was up to the community to make the final decision and vote on their forums.

    I found out last night that I won!  It was nice to put something out there and get some positive feedback.  I will also be awarded a million dollars in the server’s currency, so I guess the next drink is on me!

About 2 months ago, my husband and I went to go see a Dio tribute band.  On the way there, he mentioned he didn’t think he had any Dio albums.  I stored that little nugget away, knowing that his birthday was just around the corner.  I was hoping he’d forget, so I never brought up Dio again.  Then 3 weeks ago he told he bought some cd’s and one of them was… you guessed it, the cd I was hoping to surprise him with.

    Sure he had other items on his wishlist, but part of the joy of giving him a gift is the element of surprise.

I’m still way too new to do anything amazing, but I do like how my farm area came out.  I thought I’d also show off my avatar, since I tried to make her look like me.  I custom made one for John too.  I even added a little bald spot at the back top of his head, which he seemed to get a kick out of.

  5. Upside Down Pineapple Cake Jello Shots Pineapple juice Knox gelatin Bailey’s UV White Cake Vodka Butterscotch Schnapps 1/2 a Maraschino cherry. That’s what’s in each of these delightful little shots.  The recipe didn’t call for anything very elaborate, but I tried to add my own touch by making a thin layer of just pineapple juice, gelatin and vodka to make it look like a pineapple slice.  The remaining shot was then made with the rest, including more vodka. All in all I think they look very similar to tiny upside down pineapple cakes, but in Jello shot form.  Unfortunately I had 7 of them tonight and didn’t really feel anything.   I also think they could have been sweeter, so I may have to try these again.   I hope that everyone likes them tomorrow at the Easter dinner we’ve been invited to.  I know my friend loves UV Cake Vodka and Pineapple, which is why I thought I’d make these and hopefully surprise her. I took pictures as I made it so I may do a photoset sometime too if people really like this.

  10. Yarr, I almost forgot it’s “Talk Like a Pirate Day” today!

    I still want to share more castle pictures but first, let me also share my video that I made a year ago for the latest Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

    I took a karaoke version of Katie Melua’s - “If you were a sailboat”, changed the lyrics, and then recorded my own pirate version.

    It was scary as hell because I’m not that great of a singer.  I was really nervous about sharing it then, and I’m still nervous sharing it again.  Still, I am proud of my creative accomplishment.  It was also the first video edit I’ve ever done, so I hope you’ll take a moment to check it out and (hopefully) enjoy my lyrics.

First off, I made a ZOMBIE VIDEO! It’s the first thing I’ve ever written, directed, and produced.


Secondly I am a woman entering the next phase of her life, hopefully with an open heart and open mind.

Although uncertainty and trepidation are tagging along behind me, I hope to continue to be led by my desire for creativity and inspiration.

As you can see, I have an eclectic taste in what I find touching and amusing, but I hope somewhere in the array of what I share, you’ll find something that you like.
